🥳 This afternoon we had the honor of announcing the creation of our Veteran Response Team, the first in Michigan and one in a handful nationwide.

5 months ago, our Deputies noticed they kept responding to a Veteran who needed help. They began collaborating with the Livingston County Veteran Services, the VA, and local organizations to connect this individual with the help they needed, and the idea for the Veteran Response Team was sparked.

The team is made up of 10 of our Deputies who are Veterans themselves. They take the time to reach out and connect to Veterans that have recently interacted with local law enforcement to see if any available services could help improve the Veteran's life.

Thanks to all the local police agencies, Livingston County EMS, service agencies, and the VA for collaborating with us and bringing help to those who served.
