We have an immediate opening for a Garage Door Installer - Helper position based out of Howell, MI! This role will assist in the service and/or installation of residential and commercial garage doors, while learning the job from the Lead Garage Door Installer. This role is a permanent, full-time (40-50 hours per week) position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
1.) Assist with installation/repair of residential and commercial garage doors.
2.) Assist with routine maintenance needs of garage doors
3.) Maintain a professional demeanor, providing superior customer service
4.) Focus on quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
5.) Regular interaction with customers, builders/construction staff, Firehouse Doors staff, and other trades
6.) Actively participating in learning the trade
7.) General warehouse duties
8.) Other duties, as assigned
Required Skills:
1.) Comfortable with heights (ladders, lifts)
2.) Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds; physical ability to climb, stand, kneel, squat, and pull while managing tools and equipment required
3.) Strong mechanical aptitude
4.) Possession of resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
1.) Prior experience with garage doors or relevant trade (preferred not required)
2.) Valid driver's license with clean driving record
3.) Must be willing to work outside in various weather conditions including cold and extreme heat.
