Get the most out if your summer pots with little money and have beautiful pots into November!
I admit it, I gave up on my summer porch pots! But maybe it was because I really wanted to buy new plants, lol.
Whatever the reason I did a refresh. For the photo shoot I needed some blooming mums which I grabbed at Lowes.
Normally I would not buy them in bloom right now because the varieties blooming now will not be blooming in late September and into the October. But, I needed them, bought them, and didnt want them to go to waste.
I then headed to Bordines to see what they had in sale and...I bought nothing that was in sale. I fell in love with these heat and frost tolerant petunias and the black and orange pansy.
I pulled the things that I no longer had the energy to baby, rearranged some of the things that were still giving me great color ans life, added my new purchases and whaala, I have a new refreshed look that's not all summer or all fall.
In late September when the current mums are done along with the tropicals, ill pull those and the beautiful mums that I have for sale stating Sept 1st, will be in and ready, Ill refresh again which will take me through October and sometimes until Thanksgiving!
Same pot, same soil, several refreshes!
