Fall is ideal for planting trees — the soil stays warm, the air stays cool, and new trees can focus on root development instead of battling summer heat. It’s the perfect season to add structure, habitat, and long‑term value to your property, whether you’re planting yard trees for shade and curb appeal or screening trees for privacy and wind protection.
If you’re thinking about getting trees in the ground this fall, contact me and I’ll help you choose the right varieties and get them planted properly.

🌼🐝 Wrapped up a beautiful project this week — planting a 2‑acre wildflower plot for a customer looking to boost honey production.

This mix is loaded with high‑nectar blooms that will keep the pollinators busy all season long. It’s going to be a magnet for bees, butterflies, and color. Projects like this don’t just look good — they make a real impact for habitat and honey flow.

Always grateful for customers who invest in improving their land and supporting pollinators. Excited to see this one come to life.

Just wrapped up planting 11 acres of switchgrass across two properties. The added structure and reduced sightlines are really going to tighten up that daytime deer movement. These were honestly two of the best hunting properties I’ve had the chance to work on. Excited to see how they hunt this fall.

This is why I am talking customers out of planting HD screen yet ( next 2 weeks ) in the upper 3rd of the country. It’s been way too cold and the soil temps are not ready.
We are planting end of June at the earliest.

Just wrapped up a project installing a miscanthus screen to protect access to hunting blinds, and the difference it makes will be huge. A tall, dense wall of miscanthus keeps your entry and exit completely hidden, cuts down pressure, and lets deer stay relaxed and unbothered.

This setup will pay off all season long — quiet access, better movement, and a blind that stays “invisible.”

If you’re thinking about improving your blind access, miscanthus is one of the smartest upgrades you can make.

Wrapped up another miscanthus planting project, and I’m excited about what this will add to the property over the next couple of seasons. Miscanthus is one of those long‑term habitat investments that really pays off — once it establishes, it creates serious vertical structure, security cover, and defined movement corridors for whitetails.

This planting is set up to improve daytime security, tighten up travel routes, and help guide deer movement more predictably across the property. As it fills in, it’ll also serve as a natural screen, reducing pressure and keeping deer comfortable using the area in daylight.

Projects like this take time to mature, but they’re the kind of improvements that truly transform a property’s layout and overall habitat quality. Always a great feeling getting another step in the ground.

Finished several evergreen plantings over the past week. Each one is designed to build privacy, visual screening, and a cleaner, more structured look across the landscape. It’s great seeing these projects come together and knowing they’ll only get better with time.
