Who is this person, do you think he looks most like Dr. Red Duke or Mark Twain? His name is "Tejas Tim", I installed a new roof on his home. He had some minor interior damage and that's when I discovered that he was a prolific artist. He has 6 decades of original art stacked to the ceiling. He's hilarious because he cold calls any and everyone to buy his art or commission him to do portraits or caricatures. He also writes poetry... long-form, and I mean looonnnng.

This is happening in Texas also. If your roof is old and has turned black from algae infestation your home has a target on the roof. It's a bulls-eye for homeowners insurance cancellation. Let's add some insult to injury; if your homeowner's insurance is cancelled and you can't immediately afford a new roof, your mortgage company can add a "forced place policy" to your monthly payment. It's usually 1.5x or 2x times the amount of your current premium... ouchieee!
