Exciting progress for B+A Architecture!

We’re pleased to begin the next phase of planning and design for a new 50-unit mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri.

The vision is to create a vibrant urban community that blends modern multifamily living with commercial space, while strengthening the connection between the building, the street, and the surrounding neighborhood.

Our team will be moving forward with design development, rezoning, and development planning, working closely with the client to transform the initial vision into a thoughtful and achievable project.

We look forward to sharing more as the design evolves.

ANOTHER PROJECT PERMITTED | ANCEE NAIL LOUNGE – JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI

Every project starts with an idea and a vision.

For Ancee Nail Lounge, the Owner came to us with his own interior design ideas and a clear vision of the nail salon he wanted to create — a space reflecting his passion, experience, and personal investment in the business.

Our role at B+A Architecture was to support that vision and help turn those ideas into a project that could move forward through the permitting process.

Working alongside the Owner, engineering team, property management, and the City of Jackson, we coordinated the architectural and MEP requirements, addressed review comments, and guided the project through the permit process.

Today, we’re happy to share another important milestone:

This beautiful residence is nestled on a gently sloping hillside overlooking the scenic Lewisville Lake. The natural terrain gradually descends toward the lakeshore, creating a peaceful setting while also presenting unique design and engineering challenges. Careful coordination between architecture and structural engineering was essential to develop appropriate foundation, retaining wall, and drainage solutions that respect the site’s natural topography.

After months of architectural design, structural coordination, engineering review, and permit management, we are pleased to share that the City of Little Elm has officially issued the Building Permit, marking the transition from design to construction.

Congratulations to our wonderful clients as they take another step toward building their dream retirement home. It has been a privilege to be part of this journey, and we look forward to seeing this beautiful home come to life.

Midtown Plaza is officially moving forward!

We’re excited to share that Midtown Plaza has received approval to add 202 new apartment homes, marking a significant milestone for this transformative mixed-use development in the heart of Kansas City.

B+A Architecture is proud to serve as the Project Architect for Phases 3 & 4, leading the architectural design, construction documentation, and permitting process. From concept refinement through technical coordination with consultants and city agencies, our team is committed to delivering thoughtful, buildable solutions that support our client’s vision.

Projects like Midtown Plaza represent more than new residential buildings—they help create vibrant, walkable neighborhoods, increase housing opportunities, and contribute to the continued revitalization of our urban communities.

At B+A Architecture, we believe great design starts with understanding the full potential of a property. Recently, our team had the opportunity to present a rezoning and development vision to the local community for a project at 2922 Summit Street in Kansas City.

By strategically guiding the rezoning process from R-6 to R-1.5, we are helping transform a 6,421 SF site into a thoughtfully designed new 4-unit residential development — maximizing land value while maintaining compatibility with the surrounding neighborhood.

This project is more than just increasing density. It’s about:

🚀 Milestone Achieved: 10 States and Growing

B+A Architecture has officially expanded to 10 licensed states, doubling our footprint since 2024.

Our newest milestone includes Oklahoma, where both individual licensure and firm authorization were successfully secured in April 2026.

We are now actively operating across:
Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and New York.

This achievement reflects our continued growth, strong team effort, and commitment to delivering design excellence across multiple regions.

Back in 2024, our firm's footprint covered 5 great states: Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Iowa, and New York. Fast forward to today, and we are incredibly proud to announce that we have doubled our geographic reach to 10 states!

This week marks a major celebration for the firm as we officially plant our flag in our 10th state: 𝐎𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚. A huge congratulations to Thong Thai, who was officially granted his Oklahoma Architect license on April 14, 2026. The very next day, on April 15, 2026, B+A Architecture LLC was officially issued its Certificate of Authority by the Oklahoma Board of Governors of Architects.

We are beyond excited to bring our design expertise to Oklahoma, alongside our other recently added active regions in Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, and South Carolina.
