Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) had a great time at Phillips 66 2026 United Way Golf Tournament yesterday at BlackHorse Golf Club!

For the second year in a row, WES was proud to serve as one of the Trackman Sponsors, supporting an event that brings industry professionals together for a meaningful cause. Our Team Members enjoyed spending the day on the course, catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones, all while supporting the important work of United Way of Greater Houston.

WES has had the privilege of providing Professional Land Surveying Services to Phillips 66 for 37 Years. We're grateful for the longstanding relationship we've built and for opportunities like this to come together and give back to our local community.

Thank you to Phillips 66 and everyone who helped make this year's tournament such a great day!

Please join us in welcoming our newest Team Member, Vanessa Piedra, Civil CAD Designer, to the Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) Team!

Vanessa began her career in Oil & Gas before transitioning into Civil Engineering, where she could further utilize her extensive AutoCAD skills. As Vanessa explains, “Civil design feels like solving a puzzle: you have to bring all the details together to create a practical solution.”

Vanessa was drawn to WES by the diverse range of projects that provide opportunities to continue learning, as well as the close-knit team environment. When asked what success means to her, Vanessa shared, “Success, to me, is being a dependable part of the Team-working together, supporting one another, and contributing to work we can all be proud of. I’m excited to be part of the Team, contribute where I can, and help create great work together.”

We are excited to welcome Vanessa to the WES Team and look forward to the experience and expertise she will bring to our Engineering projects. Welcome to the Team, Vanessa!

At the end of September, Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) Team Members had the opportunity to not only attend but deliver a presentation at the quarterly IRWA Pipeline Committee Meeting in Park City, Utah.

WES had the honor of teaming with industry professionals at to present “A Boy Named SUE: What is SUE & How Could it Affect Your Projects?” Our presentation highlighted the importance of Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and the value of incorporating SUE as a proactive investment in projects across various industries, particularly Oil & Gas.

Thank you to IRWA, Horrocks, our fellow presenters and everyone who helped make this such an insightful conference! We appreciate the opportunity to share our expertise while continuing to learn from and connect with other industry professionals.

[In The Community] Some days just fill your heart. Last Sunday was one of them!

Members of the Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) Team had the joy of joining Sky High for Kids at their 11th Annual Ladies Who Brunch, alongside several valued clients. As a Family Member Sponsor and a supporter of Sky High for more than a decade, WES was especially moved by the stories shared and the sight of a room full of people rallying around one mission. It was a heartfelt reminder of the difference Sky High makes for children and families facing childhood cancer.

This year's event raised a record-breaking $2.6 Million to help end childhood cancer, a major milestone worth celebrating!

Congratulations to the entire Sky High for Kids Team on such a beautiful, thoughtfully planned event. Thank you also to the Sponsors, Committee Members, and Volunteers who gave so generously of their time and energy to make the day truly special.

Here's to the Cancer Warriors, their families and this incredible community!

Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) had a great time at the San Antonio Pipeliners Association (SAPA) Hill Country Midstream Clásico Sporting Clay Shoot!

This annual event brings together professionals from across the pipeline and midstream industries for a day of friendly competition, networking and giving back, with proceeds supporting scholarships for students within the industry.

We enjoyed spending the day with clients and industry friends from Energy Transfer, Williams and TCH Construction. With 109 participants, it was a great turnout and the SAPA Team did an excellent job putting together another successful event.

A special thank you to Howard Energy Partners for serving as the Title Sponsor and to SAPA, the event sponsors and everyone who helped make the Hill Country Midstream Clásico a success. We always appreciate opportunities to connect with our industry community while supporting the next generation of professionals.

Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) is proud to once again be recognized by the Industrial Safety Training Council (ISTC) with a Safety Award for Over a Million Hours Worked Without a Lost Workday in 2026!

Reaching more than one million hours without a lost workday reflects the strong safety culture WES Team Members uphold every day. But behind every safe decision, every precaution and every Team Member looking out for one another is something even more important, the people they go home to.

For WES Team Members, safety is more than a responsibility on the job. It is a commitment to their coworkers, their families and the people who count on them to make it home safely each day. This recognition belongs to the entire WES Team and the people who give them a reason to put safety first every day.

Who are YOU safe for?

[In The Community] A great way to kick off the first IRWA Chapter 8 meeting after the summer break! On September 10th, members of the Dan Ewing Memorial Golf Tournament Committee joined representatives from Bridging for Tomorrow and Paws for Heroes for the formal presentation of proceeds from the 2026 tournament.

Held earlier this year on May 7th, the sold-out tournament welcomed 240+ golfers and raised an incredible $87,356.40, which was split between the two organizations. While the funds were distributed earlier this year, the September meeting gave the committee and beneficiaries an opportunity to come together and celebrate the impact of another successful tournament.

The Dan Ewing Memorial Golf Tournament began as a way for the Houston Right of Way community to honor longtime friend and Right of Way Industry Leader, Dan Ewing. What started as a small tribute has grown through Right of Way Cares into an annual event that brings the industry together to give back to the community.

WES is proud to support the tournament through committee involvement, planning and sponsorship. Its continued success is made possible by the Golfers, Sponsors, Volunteers, Committee Members and Right of Way Community who support its mission year after year.

Congratulations to Bridging for Tomorrow and Paws for Heroes, and thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 Dan Ewing Memorial Golf Tournament a tremendous success!

Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) is excited to introduce one of the newer members of the Survey Field Crew Team, Zach Parkinson!

Zach joined WES in June as a Rodman and has spent the past few months gaining hands-on experience in the field. One of his favorite parts of the job has been working alongside great Team Members who are always willing to teach, answer questions and help him learn along the way.

So far, some of Zach’s most exciting work has been on railroad projects, from completing topographic Survey work to setting rods. And one thing that always makes for a good day in the field? Finding pipe on the first hole. As Zach puts it, “That is a great feeling.”

WES is glad to have Zach on the Team and looks forward to seeing him continue to learn and grow in his Land Surveying career!

In August, members of the WES Team had the opportunity to attend the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Schools Luncheon!

WES enjoyed hearing from Katy ISD Superintendent Dr. Ken Gregorski, Royal ISD Superintendent Dr. Megan C. Pape and Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens as they shared updates, priorities and what’s ahead for their districts.

As the Katy area continues to grow, strong schools and strong communities go hand in hand. Events like this give WES the opportunity to hear directly from local education leaders, connect with others in the community and learn more about what’s shaping the future of the region.

Thank you to the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce for bringing local leaders together for a great event!
