Plaster thickness?
National Plasterers Council recommends the finish be between 3/8 inch to 3/4 of an inch.
In this remodel we found the original plaster to be 1/2 thick which is within range, but the last replaster was only 1/4 inch thick.
Many plastering companies will put on the thinnest layer of plaster in order to save money 💰. That is not fair to the customer who doesn’t know the minimum plaster thickness.
If you are considering replastering your pool, and see that there is a price that is too good to be true it probably is . The replaster company will cut corners in order to make the numbers work.
Be careful who you hire and do not consider price alone!
