Our team celebrated the grand opening of not one, but two new amenity centers at The Grand Prairie in Hockley, Texas! With the debut of The Starlight and The Sundancer, this master-planned community's vision comes to life in a big way. Three resort-style pools, a splash park, two children's playgrounds, pickleball courts, and a central community building built for true gathering are all set within a landscape rooted in the beauty of Texas prairie and wetlands. This is what thoughtful design looks like when it serves the people who call a place home. We're proud to have played a part in bringing it to life!

Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site has been reimagined as a journey through time. Through collaboration with historians, archaeologists, and the Texas Historical Commission, the park now guides visitors through key eras of the Texas Revolution. Interconnected map and flag plazas, replica buildings, trails, and educational signage are coupled with replica buildings and preserved archaeological sites to blend history with landscape architecture to create an immersive living classroom.

Located a short distance from Space Center Houston, the renovations at Challenger 7 Memorial Park support new educational opportunities while visitors are engrossed in the natural landscape, including a new outdoor classroom and overlook with scenic views of the nearby wetlands. Other additions to the 294-acre park include:

Midline, a new master planned community situated between Houston and Galveston, is now offering "a new way to live between." Envisioned to be the place where the dynamic energy of city life meets the pace of island time, the community will feature a diverse range of homes and inviting outdoor spaces thoughtfully integrated throughout the site. As the landscape architects for this new community, we've been hard at work bringing this space to life from the ground up. From the entry monuments, to the trails, and the amenity center now under construction, we can't wait to see how this project continues to evolve!

Please join us in congratulating Managing Principal Elizabeth Gilbert for receiving the inaugural Texas A&M Landscape and Urban Planning Department's Renowned Alumni Award for Landscape Architecture! Her involvement and contributions to the program help shape the future of our profession and showcase leadership in action. Not only does she serve on the Professional Advisory Board, but she also dedicates time to mentoring students, collaborates with faculty, and has spearheaded two endowed scholarships on behalf of Clark Condon. Over the years, she has provided opportunities for students to have hands-on experience on real projects, as well as field trips and practical lectures on the fundamentals of the profession.

Construction is officially underway on the new amenity center in Legacy! Located in Friendswood, Texas, the amenity center is designed for fun, relaxation, and connection. This space offers something for everyone, whether you want to work out, unwind by the water, or gather with neighbors. Exciting features coming to the neighborhood include a resort-style pool, playground and swings, expansive event lawn, beautiful landscaping and irrigation, scenic trails and a lake kayak launch, relaxing seating areas, and a fitness center. We cannot wait to see this space come to life for residents to enjoy. Stay tuned for more updates!
