Today, the spotlight is on Principal Janann Pittman.

Janann is passionate about education, and community focused architecture. Whether it is a classroom, parish hall, theatre or campus plan, we believe creating spaces that support and reflect the communities they serve, is essential to successful design. Starting by truly listening and understanding her clients, Janann is able to translate complex pedagogical philosophies and campus constraints, into environments that inspire curiosity and help communities thrive.

PROJECT MILESTONE - Rice Sewall Hall & Old Lovett College: As soon as students vacated the space in May, the Jackson & Ryan Architects team went to work, refurbishing parts of Sewall Hall & Old Lovett College in time for this year's returning classes, helping Rice maximize existing asset value.

This Urban Wildlife Refuge day, we're celebrating a project that still leads the country in animal welfare. The Houston SPCA Wildlife Center of Texas and Wildlife Flight Complex (Houston SPCA) cares for approximately 10,000 wild animals each year and educates more than 50,000 adults and children about wildlife, conservation, and the environment. Currently, they are the only center in the Houston area where residents can take wildlife for help or rehabilitation.

We're proud to have been involved in this campus for decades, from our first collaboration in 1988 to the current layout of their Campus for All Animals, serving the wildlife impacted by Houston's urban sprawl.

As part of our anniversary series, we are celebrating two of our firm's principals: Christopher Craig and Julian Pittman.

Christopher joined us in 1992, followed by Julian in 2002. Together, they have embraced a broad range of projects, proving that no vision is too complex and no space is too small.
