Tucked along the Delaware, there is a little town that feels like a secret even though it has been here all along. 🌉 Lambertville is brick sidewalks, antique shops, a footbridge to New Hope, and the kind of quiet pride that does not need to shout.

No boardwalk, no traffic, no rush. 🕯️ Just restored storefronts glowing at dusk, a bookstore on the corner, and people who chose this slower kind of Jersey on purpose and would not trade it for anything.

We talk a lot about the loud parts of this state, the shore and the cities and the highways. đź’ś But places like this are just as much Jersey, the small river towns that hold their history gently and welcome you in like you have always belonged.

Which small Jersey town do you think deserves way more love than it gets?

Truckers are rerouting hundreds of miles just to stay safe. Texas and Oklahoma checkpoints are catching drivers off guard — no green card, no passport, no mercy. Years behind the wheel don’t matter when one inspection can erase your CDL.

This is the view from my living room window on a crisp April afternoon in Beach Haven, NJ, USA. Every day we walk down our “secret path” (named by our six-year-old grandson) to see what Mother Nature is up to on the jetty and beach.

🌲 The Forest That Built the South 🌲

Before highways, railroads, and modern cities, the Gulf Coast was covered by a vast sea of Longleaf Pine.

Stretching from Virginia to Texas, more than 90 million acres of Longleaf Pine once dominated the southeastern United States. These towering trees were among the strongest pines in North America, with many reaching heights of over 100 feet and living for centuries.

Longleaf pine lumber built homes, ships, bridges, docks, and entire communities. The forests surrounding the Wolf River became an economic engine for South Mississippi, supplying timber that was shipped across the nation and around the world.

But the Longleaf ecosystem was more than just timber. Frequent natural fires maintained an incredibly diverse forest that supported wildlife, protected watersheds, and shaped the landscape we know today.

Today, less than 4% of the original Longleaf Pine ecosystem remains.

Over the next few weeks, we'll explore how the Longleaf Pine forests of the Wolf River shaped our economy, transformed our landscape, and left a legacy that can still be found along the river today.

Beautiful sunsets never go out of style. Lake Erie put on a breathtaking display, painting the sky with unforgettable colors and reminding us to slow down and appreciate nature's beauty.

There’s nothing quite like standing on the shores of Lake Michigan, gazing up at the city skyline. In that moment, surrounded by the vastness of the water and the towering architecture, you can’t help but feel a little smaller—and deeply inspired by the scale and beauty of it all.

Imagine dedicating decades to the road, driving millions of safe miles, only to have your career end because of a single failed English proficiency assessment. For many veteran truck drivers, a lifetime of experience, professionalism, and safe driving suddenly feels overshadowed by one test—raising difficult questions about how experience and compliance are balanced in the industry.
