A fresh year is here, and DES is ready to keep your home safe and up to code in 2026!

Now that the holidays are behind us and we're all finding new homes for gifts and storage items, many of us end up placing things on closet shelves. But here's something most homeowners don't realize:
If your closet has an open bulb light fixture (like the one shown in the top image), it's actually an NEC violation. When items are stored too close to an exposed bulb, the heat from that bulb can create a safety hazard.

The good news is that this is a simple upgrade that you can make. DES can replace your open bulb fixture with a globed fixture, recessed lighting, or a low-profile LED surface-mount fixture (which is pictured in the bottom images.)

Divin Electrical Services is looking for qualified electricians that are knowledgeable in residential electrical projects. We have a lot of service work, so someone knowledgeable in troubleshooting is desired.
You must have your own mode of transportation (we do compensate for some mileage), and you must have your own basic set of tools. Showing up on time and ready to work is also a must. You also must hold a current, valid electrical license for the State of Texas.
