Our team working on the Independence Heights project recently got a well-deserved break from the heat when Kona Ice stopped by the jobsite. With Texas temperatures in full force, it was a great chance to cool off and treat our crews who are out there putting in the work every day. ☀️

Progress is coming along on our Target Sitework and Infrastructure project in Denham Springs, Louisiana 🚧!

The Block Companies team has been hard at work on site development for the 33-acre retail site, which will include a future Target store along with additional tenant spaces. Work on the site covers everything from clearing, mass grading, and earthwork to utilities, building pads, paving, concrete, irrigation, and landscaping as the development continues to take shape 🏗️.

A big thank you to our crews on site for the hard work they're putting in each day. We're looking forward to seeing the progress continue and sharing more as work moves ahead 👏.

With more than 30 years in the construction industry, Adam brings extensive experience to our team. He oversees estimating, budgeting, and proposal development for our multifamily projects and understands the value of building strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

It was a great day on the course for an even greater cause ⛳!

Block Companies team members, Chris, Jose, and JJ, enjoyed participating in the 2026 Construction Leadership Council Golf Tournament hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston. The event brought together construction professionals from across the industry for a day of networking, friendly competition, and support of the AGC Houston Patrick J. Kiley Scholarship Fund 🤝.

This quarter, we successfully went live with our new ERP platform, Sage Intacct, marking a major investment in the future of our business. Replacing our previous accounting system, Sage Intacct brings cloud-based access, improved reporting, stronger integration with Procore, greater visibility across the organization, and more efficient day-to-day processes.

This achievement was made possible through months of collaboration between our Accounting and Operations teams. A special thank you to Lea, Keely, Katie, Tara, Rhonda, Amy, and everyone else who played a part in making this transition a success. Their teamwork, thoughtful planning, and willingness to embrace change helped bring this important project to life. ✨
