This award is given by the GPA Midstream Association to companies who sustained ZERO lost-time accidents or reportable incidents in 2024.

I probably don't post enough about my business here, I'm typically on LinkedIn, but this was a great project to be a part of.

Our team at S&B Helical has been actively involved in this groundbreaking project highlighted by Wärtsilä Energy, focusing on energy storage solutions and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Our contributions have been pivotal in advancing this innovative energy storage technology, which is set to transform the landscape of sustainable energy. By leveraging cutting-edge solutions and collaborating closely with industry leaders, we’re proud to be part of this transformative initiative by designing, procuring, and installing more than 2,000 helical piers.

It didn't come without it's challenges, the biggest of which being a subcontractor that dramatically underperformed. We deployed a significant amount of additional personnel at no additional cost to the client, recovering the schedule by installing as many as 100 helical piers in a single day. A huge shoutout to everyone on our team for their dedication and hard work. This project is a testament to our commitment to driving progress in energy storage and supporting a greener future.

Did you know Americans consume around 1.4 BILLION pounds of turkey at Thanksgiving? 🦃

(You'd need quite a few helical piers to support that kind of chow-down)

Besides being thankful for good food, this year we're especially grateful to all our employees, clients, vendors, and partners.

Our team at S&B Helical includes expert welders certified for heavy-duty commercial and industrial projects. Why? Because it's better for our customers (keep reading)....

Welders are a vital part of a helical pier install. It's their job to secure foundation elements to the helical piers like cross-beams, pier caps, or grillages. On this slug catcher project, you can see our welder attaching cross-beams to the helical piers.

While it costs more to have in-house talent, the benefit is that our team gets the job done right on site, right away. It keeps our timelines tight and maintains a relentless standard of quality.

Remember, going cheap rarely pays. When it comes to tough foundations, stick with a tough team.
