HVAC Technician – 77044

At AACANN, our technicians are tasked with cleaning, adjusting, charging, and repairing systems. HVAC technicians must be ready to maintain and repair all heating and cooling systems in a home or office building. You will be responsible for these systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. To be successful in this role; customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be punctual and have excellent communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities:
• Directing and participating in preventive, corrective, general maintenance and installation of HVAC systems and equipment
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
• Cleaning, adjusting, charging, and repairing HVAC systems
• Performing emergency and warranty services promptly and efficiently
• Educating and guiding the customer on technical decisions
• Navigating our service software to keep records of all maintenance services performed
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding safety
• Complying with company standards, work instructions and customer requirements
• Assisting other HVAC staff with their daily performance duties as needed
• Operating company vehicle, track mileage and vehicle inventory
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Consistent punctuality and the ability to meet strenuous deadlines
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer, office, co-workers, and team members
• Readiness to listen, learn, understand, and follow directions given orally and/or in writing
• Ability to navigate basic software on a phone or device; such as, e-mail, Google Drive, taking photos and screenshots, etc.
• Able to diagnose and repair refrigerant cycle, electrical and controls failures
• Able to solder/braze copper line sets
• Able to operate and drive a motor vehicle while maintaining the company reputation
• Able to perform labor intensive work associated with HVAC maintenance
• Able to work in confined spaces
Qualifications:
• Trade, Technical, or Vocational Education in the HVAC field of study
• EPA Certification for Refrigerant Use
• 3+ year(s) experience in the HVAC industry
• Willingness to continue education in the HVAC field of study
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Eligibility for insurance coverage
The Good Stuff:
• 35-50 hours per week
• Hourly pay, based on experience
• Monday-Friday, with rotating on-call Saturdays (we strongly believe that Sundays are family/religious days strictly for your valuable time off)
