Fast Track Specialties, LP is proud to announce that our Founder and President, John Glaze, has been elected to The University of Texas System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee, representing Stephen F. Austin State University. John was inducted on September 4, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, by UT System Chancellor John Zerwas, M.D.

“I am honored to serve on the Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee and represent Stephen F. Austin State University,” John said. “I look forward to learning, contributing, and supporting Chancellor Zerwas as we work to advance the mission of the UT System and strengthen higher education across Texas.”

John was joined at the conference by his wife, Kimberly. The event provided valuable insight into the UT System, its institutions, and the many ways its work affects Texas and the nation. A central focus was space—its impact on our daily lives and the importance of ensuring that the United States continues to lead in space exploration and innovation.

The Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee supports the initiatives of the UT System Chancellor and serves as a strategic advisory group. Its members also help educate and engage alumni, friends, and the public about the UT System’s higher education and health care initiatives.

John brings more than 30 years of construction-industry leadership and a deep commitment to workforce development, higher education, and community service. He is a founding member of the SFA Construction Management Industry Advisory Board and has consistently worked to create opportunities for students pursuing careers in construction.

John is deeply grateful to University of Texas alumna Betty Bird for nominating him to serve on this prestigious committee.

Their courage carved the path to liberty. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we hold dear. Their legacy calls us to live with honor, gratitude, and purpose.

We are also heavily involved in one of Texas’ newest and most exciting historic projects — The First Capitol of Texas Historic Site in Columbia, Texas. Our founder, John Glaze, proudly serves as a Director on The First Capitol of Texas – Columbia 1836 Board of Directors. The vision for this incredible project includes creating a replica of the Senate Chamber, relocating the replica of the House Chamber, and developing a world-class visitor center dedicated to telling the story of the First Capitol of the Republic of Texas.

This historic site also carries the remarkable story of General Santa Anna being brought there as a prisoner of war following his defeat at the Battle of San Jacinto.

These projects tell the story of Texas independence, sacrifice, leadership, and perseverance. Fast Track Specialties is honored to play a role in preserving the places that shaped the history, spirit, and legacy of Texas for future generations.

Fast Track Specialties, LP is excited and honored to be part of the new state-of-the-art Forestry and Agriculture facilities project at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

This transformational investment by the UT System and Board of Regents will help shape the future of forestry, agriculture, engineering, and environmental sciences for generations to come. The new 102,117-square-foot Forestry Building, along with the Agricultural Engineering and Technology Building, will create incredible opportunities for hands-on learning, research, innovation, and industry collaboration.

As an SFA alumnus, our founder, John Glaze, and advisor to the SFA Construction Management Industry Advisory Board, this project is especially meaningful to our team. East Texas has a rich history in forestry and natural resources, and this investment strengthens the connection between education, industry, sustainability, and the regional economy.

We are proud to support a project that will help prepare students for the future while advancing mass timber, agriculture, construction, and environmental leadership across Texas and beyond.

We are also excited to be working alongside The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company as the General Contractor, Project Control, and Kirksey Architecture on this transformational project.

This is an incredible destination for architects, designers, contractors, and clients to experience firsthand the latest innovations in restroom accessories and premium full-privacy restroom cubicles, including the Thrislington and Privada systems.
The showroom does a great job showcasing modern design, craftsmanship, materials, finishes, hardware, and technology that are helping shape the future of commercial restroom environments.
Fast Track Specialties, LP, was thankful to be included in the open house and appreciated the opportunity to see this impressive new space firsthand.

Please join us in celebrating an incredible milestone for Kathy Pinon! Today we celebrate her 10 year anniversary with Fast Track Specialties, LP.

For the past decade, Kathy has been the backbone in our accounting department, where she has tackled complex financial projects, balanced, budgeted, and made a lasting impact on the team. She also serves the construction industry as a member of ABC Greater Houston LOGIC Committee where she has led various committees.
