My Dad…. Yesterday at 1:23 PM as a crack of thunder roared the Lord called my father Home. The words seem so hard but yet I feel like there is so much to say. Your life was beautiful Dad and at the center of it was your family. Family was your world and time together with all of us is all you ever really wanted and needed, and I am so glad that we got loads of it.
Going through all of the old photos and stuff this week I came across my baby book now for us second born siblings that little book seems to be a little lacking in information but when I looked to see my first words, it read Da-Da. I was a daddy‘s girl from the beginning. He was my first love and my first best friend. My dad taught me all the tools I needed to become a great person, great athlete, a competitor and doing so with a kind and humble heart. My dad always always showed up. He loved coaching our team sports as I was growing up and he never not one time missed a game. He was the ultimate dad. My dad passed away at home in the house I grew up in. All the memories have been flooding back these last few weeks. From the front yard where the basketball goal was where we would spend hours and hours every single day after he got off of work just playing basketball or sitting in the backyard. The sounds of a hot summer day dogs barking us laughing swimming in the pool and throwing the softball in the back yard still echo loud. Dad you truly were the best you never met a stranger and mom Christopher and I knew when you got to talking it was going to be a while kindoff like your trips to the grocery store. You can tell the love of a dad by the hole he leaves in your heart and this one feels huge. You loved us well Dad… I love you and keep watch over us from above as you always did down here. I love you 💔🪽
