This mudroom is built for both.

After long days at work, school, and practice, everyone needs a place to drop their gear and reset. Custom cubbies, deep drawers, and tall cabinets keep backpacks, jackets, sports equipment, and everyday clutter organized and out of the way.

It is one of those spaces that quietly keeps the whole house running smoother. Because when life moves fast, good storage makes all the difference.

There is something special about bringing a vision to life, and this kitchen was one of those projects that reminded me why I love what I do.

Our goal with this remodel was simple: create a space that feels timeless, bright, and built for real cooking. We centered the design around this beautiful range wall, pairing a professional Wolf range with a custom plaster hood that adds height and presence without overwhelming the space.

The marble backsplash and shelf were cut from the same slab so the veining flows naturally across the wall. It creates a bold focal point while still keeping the palette calm and classic. Warm brass hardware and sconces bring in just enough contrast against the soft cabinetry, giving the whole kitchen a little glow.

One of my favorite details is the balance. Tall windows, symmetrical cabinetry, and that centered hood make the room feel grounded and intentional. It is the kind of kitchen that looks elegant but is still ready for a busy family dinner or a Sunday morning pancake marathon.
