1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

Think about all the women you know. Your coworkers, friends, neighbors, sisters, daughters, and the people you see every day. When you realize that 1 in every 8 of those women could face a breast cancer diagnosis, it hits a little differently.

A breast cancer diagnosis can mean surgeries, treatments, uncertainty, and lasting effects that don't simply go away when treatment ends. Early detection can save lives, but that doesn't mean the road ahead is easy.

That's why awareness matters. And so does being there for the people going through it.

Last Wednesday, Hays employees across our offices and job sites wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗 Thank you to everyone who wore pink and showed their support .

As we continue through October, we encourage everyone to stay informed, understand their risk, prioritize recommended screenings, and remember the people behind the pink ribbons.

More than 100 executives gathered at Hays Electrical Services' Houston headquarters Thursday evening for the Ambition In Motion Executive Symposium.

The evening included networking, a collaborative case study session, and a panel discussion centered on a challenge many growing businesses face: how to keep moving forward without putting too much strain on the people and processes that got them there.

The conversation reinforced an important point: growth takes more than adding people and taking on new opportunities. It requires leaders to recognize when their organizations need to adapt, build teams that can handle change, and make decisions that support long-term success.

Hays Electrical Services was proud to join AGC Houston for the 2026 APEX Awards Gala, celebrating the projects, teams, and professionals making an impact across Houston’s commercial construction industry.

It was a great evening celebrating the people, projects, and achievements that continue to move Houston’s construction industry forward.

At the Innovatrix International 2nd Constructing Mega Facilities Summit in Houston, CEO Eric Hays shared how Hays is thinking differently about one of the biggest challenges facing mega facility construction: labor.

Eric points to roughly 1.5 million high school graduates each year who don’t follow the traditional college path. Instead of competing for the same limited pool of experienced electricians, he sees an opportunity to bring more people into the trade through structured training and a different approach to how the work is planned.

Eric estimates that roughly 90% of the electrical work on a data center can be taught through structured training, standardized work packages, and experienced supervision. Hays is already applying that approach in Houston through its Accelerated Training Program, where 135 employees are building the classroom knowledge and hands-on skills of a first-year electrical apprentice in about 90 days.

The workforce is there. The opportunity is creating a path into the trade and building the work around the skills people can learn.

This is a significant moment for Hays Electrical Services and for our relationship with Texas State University.

Our $10 million capital commitment will support the new University Fieldhouse and the softball and baseball performance center, while the broader partnership will also create mentorship, internship, leadership development, and career opportunities for Texas State students and student-athletes.

This is the largest capital projects gift in Texas State Athletics history, and it’s a commitment we’re incredibly proud to make. It represents a long-term investment in Texas State, its student-athletes, and the students who will grow through these opportunities, build their careers, and take that experience with them long after their time on campus.

We’re grateful to Texas State Athletics for the partnership and for the opportunity to be part of what’s ahead in San Marcos.

Sandcastles, sunscreen, and a pretty good excuse to spend a Saturday at the beach for work.

Hays joined American Subcontractors Association - Houston Chapter (ASA-HC) at the 19th Annual Fiesta on the Beach during the Galveston AIA Sandcastle Festival as an H2O Zone Sponsor. Our team spent the day catching up with industry partners, supporting the event, and checking out some seriously impressive builds at East Beach.

It’s not every Saturday our jobsite is made of sand, but we’ll take it.

Investing time in training like this is easy to justify when you think about what’s at stake on an active jobsite every day.

This group recently completed Hays’ six-week Safety Leadership Academy, designed to prepare employees for entry-level safety roles in the field. The program builds on safety fundamentals with training in hazard recognition and risk assessment, site safety responsibilities, leadership, and field operations.

At Hays, safety training isn’t a one-time box to check. We want our people continuing to build their knowledge and skills throughout their careers and taking what they learn back to the jobsite.

Hays Electrical Services received a 2026 Excellence in Construction Merit Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston for our work on Cruise Terminal 16 at the Port of Galveston.

We’re proud to see this project and the team behind it recognized. A lot of work went into getting Cruise Terminal 16 across the finish line, with our office teams handling the planning and coordination and our field crews putting that work in place on the jobsite each day.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in making this project a success. This award belongs to the people who showed up, worked together, and delivered throughout the job.
