The Life Church campus in Edmond, Oklahoma has expanded multiple times over the last 25 years. While those additions made space for community growth, they also created complicated roof transitions and various issues.
When it came time to address the ongoing roof concerns, Draper Construction & Commercial Roofing - Oklahoma City recommended an Everest Systems restoration approach would provide long term protection while minimizing disruption to church operations.
Safety was a major focus from day one. Before restoration work began, the team installed and sealed more than a dozen roof anchor points and implemented a full safety program that included daily safety monitoring, harnesses, and lifts.
The restoration process included pressure washing and surface preparation, applying EverPrime Metal where rust was present. Numerous seams were caulked with Everseal and reinforced using a three-coat system of Evercoat EC Base and Evercoat HT Top. Eco-Level and SPF were used in problem areas to improve drainage and address ongoing issues around ridges and flashings.
The system was completed with multiple coats of Everest HT in three different colors to provide both performance and aesthetic consistency across the campus.
The project extended beyond its 85,000-square-foot size.
The team navigated a high dome, multiple building additions, walls, gutters, downspouts, and numerous areas experiencing active leaks.
Rather than pursuing a costly replacement, Life Church chose a restoration strategy that reduced construction time, limited disruption, and extended the life of its existing roof system.
A well-planned restoration can solve roofing challenges while helping organizations protect both their facilities and their resources.
