At Lakehaven we believe in timeless/elegant designs that endure. I’ve never met someone who says, “I love when my house is torn apart and in the middle of a remodel!” So in bigger spaces we try to pick materials that will still look gorgeous 10-15 years from now. Not to say that we don’t love a good trendy moment. My advice: Keep trendy designs in smaller spaces that are easier to change in a few years when it’s cycled out. Think powder rooms, small hallways, laundry rooms…. This week I’m working on a small hallway that I wanted to be moody and fun. I’m doing dark paint, wallpaper ceiling, and a fun art deco light. 😍
