You might be surprised by what we found underneath this old roof top in El Lago!

This home just got a fresh new look with Atlas ProLam Weathered Wood shingles, but the real story was underneath the old roof.

The previous roof had done a great job protecting the homeowners for years. Unfortunately, we found a few leaks that had made their way through—and thankfully, the damage was limited to about 7 sheets of roof decking.

We removed the damaged decking and replaced it with new OSB decking, then added several material and installation upgrades designed to give this home better protection for many years to come.

And there’s another reason this project was special…

It was great working alongside Ryan Weseman, who brings many years of hands-on roofing experience to the Ronnie Roofer team. We’re excited to have him on board!

This is why a roof inspection is about more than just looking at the shingles. Sometimes the things that need attention are hiding underneath.

One thing you'll notice about me is that I like to be the first one on every jobsite. Before work begins, I meet with my project manager and crew to go over the game plan, discuss the details, and make sure everyone understands the expectations. Clear communication from the start helps ensure a smooth project and a quality result.

Over the years, people have told me I should step back more or that I'm too hands-on. They're probably right—I am very involved. But that's because my name is on every roof we install, and I take that responsibility seriously.

I believe every homeowner deserves a roof that is built with care, attention to detail, and pride in the workmanship.
