A familiar sound this morning of a hammer and a pry bar pulling out nails. Almost every reclaimed board and beam that we process has to have nails pulled out of it. It was nice and cool this morning and made the work a pleasant ordeal. We are supplying a large amount of reclaimed Douglas Fir beams for a project and have been pulling nails for that. One big old reclaimed beam had 287 nails in it! The smell of freshly sawn Douglas Fir sawdust and the sun coming up on a rare cool August morning here in Virginia reminded me of how much I like this job!

We have lots of mantels in stock that are ready to go. They’re made from vintage reclaimed wood beams. We have circle sawn, hand hewn, and planed smooth mantels available. We can cut them to length, if you need that. Please call us at 804-561-3700 or email us at [email protected] for more details.

It’s a cool 30 degrees this morning and we are sawing up some reclaimed Douglas Fir for another great customer! Nothing like a cold crisp morning with the bright sun coming up and the sawdust flying….just so satisfying!! Douglas Fir is so aromatic and it smelled so good while we were sawing too!

We just finished a batch of white oak handhewn box beams. If you’re looking to wrap an LVL beam or need something more lightweight then a solid beam, this is a great option.

It’s a nice cold sunny morning here at Keystone Vintage Lumber. We just finished unloading 2 trucks that had 26,000 bd feet of reclaimed lumber on them. A mix of walnut, cedar, heartpine and Douglas Fir. We are very thankful for lots of work to keep us busy! [email protected]

Fall is in the air and also the smell of reclaimed heartpine. Today we are sawing up a nice batch of reclaimed antique heartpine that we will manufacture into flooring.
