🚨 STIHL BR 800 OWNERS, CHECK YOUR BLOWERS BEFORE LEAF SEASON!

If you're running a STIHL BR 800, there's a recall you need to know about.

STIHL recalled approximately 47,800 BR 800 backpack blowers because the fan wheel inside can break apart, creating a serious laceration hazard.

And with leaf cleanup season here, the last thing you need is a blower failing in the middle of a job.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO CHECK:

Affected models:

- STIHL BR 800 X Magnum
- STIHL BR 800 C-E Magnum

Affected serial numbers:
546515117 through 547916107

You can find the serial number on the label attached to the blower tube.

WHAT IF YOURS IS ON THE LIST?

If it hasn't already been repaired under the recall, STOP USING IT.

Take it to an authorized STIHL servicing dealer. They'll inspect it and replace the affected fan wheel for FREE.

This recall was originally announced in November 2025, but that doesn't mean every affected blower has been fixed.

A lot of contractors run these machines hard during leaf season.

Take two minutes to check yours before putting it back to work.

🍂 Timing is Everything: When to Apply Fall Winterizer & W**d Preventer! 🌿
Seeing bag after bag of winterizer at the garden center and wondering when to actually put it down? If you’re managing southern warm-season grasses (St. Augustine, Centipede, Zoysia, or Bermuda), here’s what you need to know before you spread!
⏰ The Golden Window: Late Summer to Early Fall (Late September through October)
Why Timing Matters:
1. Beat Winter W**ds Before They Germinate: This Ferti-lome Winterizer & W**d Preventer II contains Dimension (Dithiopyr). It works as a pre-emergent barrier that stops cool-season w**ds like henbit, chickw**d, and poa annua before they sprout. You want it down right as soil temperatures drop below 70°F.
2. Strengthen Roots for Winter: The high potassium (that 14 in the 10-0-14 formula) acts like a winter coat for your grass. It strengthens root systems and builds stress tolerance so your lawn bounces back green and strong in spring.
3. Don't Apply Too Late! Warm-season lawns go dormant in late fall/winter. Applying nitrogen fertilizer too late in the season can spur tender new growth that gets zapped by the first frost. Aim to apply 4 to 6 weeks before your average first frost date!

📏 Coverage: One 16 lb. bag covers up to 5,000 sq. ft.
🌧️ Water It In: Activate the w**d barrier by watering your lawn with ~1/2 inch of water right after spreading if rain isn't in the forecast.
Keep those lawns healthy through the chill so spring setup is a breeze! 🍁✨
