I just want to share a story that happened yesterday with a customer. It’s a story that brought a tear to my eye and made me both happy and sad at the same time. It was a rewarding thing to hear as well. Owning a business is not always perfect that’s for sure. There’s lots of ups and downs, stresses and etc but what happened yesterday was pretty awesome to hear. Our crew made a positive difference in a young child and families life.
The photos below show before and after photos of a very large property our crew reclaimed the land on. There’s many more before photos than after photos and I apologize for that, but you can easily get the picture of the transformation here. Three men with a brush hog, mowers, w**d whackers and etc spent an entire day making this property go from being a lawn that was not mowable back to being a mowable lawn. The property had not been touched in a year or so which made this a very daunting task. The crew worked hard and at the end of the job the hardest thing I ever do is send a bill. I always want people to be happy with the work we do and I also want people to think what we do is worth the price they pay. I want people to appreciate the quality of the work we do and it’s nice to hear when people give that kind of positive feedback. This happened to be a large bill in terms of just getting a lawn back to a mowable state, but it was also a very large time consuming job and not an easy one.
Once done I messaged the customer and asked her how she felt about the final product. She told me she was very happy and realized it was a huge job. She said when we pulled into the driveway the work your crew did made my 5 year old boy cry. She told me he said it looks like we got our house back! What I didn’t realize was this family lost their entire home in a fire over a year ago and that next week the work will begin to rebuild their new future home on that same property. So in other words the young boy was happy to see his property look like the property he once lived at minus the old home. That made me very happy to know we made a positive impact on a family and especially a little guys life. I will admit I shed a tear myself over this. It was happy/sad tears to know what this little guy and family went through but also a rewarding happy knowing. We made the little guy happy today!
When life’s tough, business doesn’t go right and etc. Just hearing something Ike that from a small child and family makes what we do so rewarding and makes a person feel great. I know it did for me. I’m happy we made a difference in their lives and thank you to the customer for sharing this story. It was great to hear!
