The small town of Olathe, Colorado was the birth place of J-Mar Products in September of 1990. After sixteen years of previous building experience in the Aspen area, specializing in trim carpentry, it was time for a change. This newlywed husband and wife team was looking to combine their talents to make ends meet. Marty’s extensive skill building custom homes, and Jeri’s love for design ended u
p being a perfect match for the cabinetry and countertop business. They began their business by building a deck for a handicapped person. The person delivering meals admired their work and inquired about the builder. He in turn was looking for someone to help him oversee the building of his custom house in Montrose, Colorado. Not realizing where this would lead, Jeri & Marty accepted the invitation and proceeded to help. Through this experience they recognized their niche in the building industry. Custom built-on-site laminate countertops were their specialty during the first few years. As time went on, contractors were looking for someone who understood the complexities of the cabinetry end of construction, and the importance of attention to detail. When asked by a contractor if they could supply cabinets, it was a no-brainer. Marty & Jeri were already installing the cabinets and building the tops. Why not have a one-stop-shop as a cabinet & countertop dealer! Since that time their business continues to expand according to industry demands. The most recent addition is partnering with Rocky Mountain Granite Company to provide an even larger selection of stone tops. Over the years J-Mar Products has continued to supply the same quality “hands-on” service it began with. They have built the business with YOUR best interests in mind.
