Recently, we provided construction management services to support a project in Watertown MA for client Whitney Towers. Our objective was renovating 8 floors of a residential building, including replacement of ACT, flooring, select doors, and complete refurbishment of laundry rooms and Solarium.

Most recent tasks were flooring prep / Installation in the Solarium as well as Millwork and Stone countertop installation in administrative offices. Additionally, wood paneling was installed in July while the demolition of 6th and 7th floors occurred in July as well.

At 100 Forge, we were working on renovating the existing 9th floor to support new tenant Triveni Bio. Renovations for this project included a demo of select rooms, installation of new mechanical / chilled beams, electrical outlets and plumbing components, new flooring, painting, doors & hardware.

Throughout the process, we were also working directly for Boylston Properties with design/build partners to turn the space over.

One of our longstanding clients, The Davis Companies, awarded us with the fourth-floor LifeMine Therapeutics life science tenant fit out at 66 Galen Street in Watertown, MA.

We secured competitive and comprehensive pricing for the 44,000 sq fit out, which includes open and private offices, meeting rooms, collaboration areas, and substantial lab space. Tailored to the tenant's exact requirements, the lab areas feature a balanced mix of open lab environments and dedicated support spaces. Alongside additional contract awards on the third floor, this fit-out marks the next phase of TDC’s efforts to fill the building with active tenants.

Combined, the third and fourth floors total over 84,000 sf of premier office and laboratory space. Meanwhile, our team is currently mobilized on-site to support the build-out for LabShares on the first floor.

Happy 25 years of ! We’re proud to help communities grow!

In April, we attended their 2026 Dig It! event. Not only did we attend but we were also a silver birch sponsor.

CitySprouts mission is to cultivate curiosity and wonder with hands-on science learning through urban gardens. All funds raised at Dig It! help to directly support their educational programs, keep their gardens growing, and connect elementary school students with the natural world around them.

Cheers to 25 years of advancing garden education in Cambridge and Boston Public Schools 😊🎉

Today marks the end of Construction Safety Week. This year, it took place from May 4th - May 8th. The primary focus for this industry led awareness event is to promote and recognize safe culture throughout the construction industry.

This year’s theme was “All In Together”, sparking a five-year vision centered around a shared responsibility across all project phases to effectively unify construction processes and mitigate hazards. The three pillars of action for this year are Recognize (Identify high-energy hazards), Respond (Act on safety threats), & Respect (Value safety and human life)

This year we held our safety outing at TopGolf where we not only discussed safe practices across projects but got a few swings in with the nice weather ⛳

PIDC was recently hired to convert and update three specialty lab spaces at a local university. One of the lab rooms required a specialized Electro Magnetic Shielding be applied in order to reduce low frequency EMF levels to support their research.

With the help of FMS technologies, we were able to install special 1/4" aluminum plating to the walls, ceilings, and floor with 100% seam welds. The shielding process took about 5 weeks to complete and despite the numerous challenges along the way, we were able to keep the project on schedule and under budget.

Recently, this specialized room was tested and it was noted that EMF levels are three times lower than the required specified minimums.

Another successful project and satisfied client!

Happy 10 Year Anniversary Steve!🥳
Drop a comment and wish him a big congrats!🎉

How has your job changed over the past 10 years? I wouldn’t say my primary Job of managing projects has changed very much. I’ve been managing complex and diverse projects that vary in size year over year since day 1. The end goal of all our projects is “customer satisfaction” by simply “doing the right thing”. With that said, my increased responsibilities of managing new and existing clients has been a positive change that brings great satisfaction to my job.

What accomplishments/successes are you most proud of after 10 years with PIDC? My most memorable and successful job is the Core & Shell project located at 25 Spinelli in Cambridge. This transformation of an old Charleston Chew candy distribution building to a world class lab was by far the most successful transformation of a building I’ve ever constructed.

When you were in kindergarten, what did you want to be when you grew up? A Machinist like my father
