Architecture matters, even in a gym. Smart floor plans prevent peak-hour bottlenecks. Natural light makes the space feel energizing. Well-designed locker rooms make members feel respected. These aren't details. They're retention drivers.

We design fitness centers as complete wellness hubs, from group exercise studios and specialty training zones to recovery spaces and the back-of-house operations that keep everything running. Every square foot is intentional.

Today's banking customers want digital convenience AND the trust that only comes from a well-designed physical space. The institutions winning right now understand that their branch layout, technology integration and member experience are all part of the same strategy.

We design banks and credit unions built for where financial services are headed, not where they have been. Security, flexibility, future-ready technology, and the kind of environment that turns a visit into a relationship.

Ready to build a branch that works as hard as your team does? Let's talk.

When MidMinnesota Federal Credit Union was ready to stop leasing and build a permanent home in Detroit Lakes, the first challenge was not the design. It was finding the right site. High visibility, strong traffic counts, easy access, and the kind of retail clustering that actually drives member visits.

That is where we started. Through our EvoBank process, HTG acted as the owner's representative from site selection all the way through design, making sure the building worked for the credit union's growth strategy before a single wall went up.

This Memorial Day, we pause with gratitude for the men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

To the fallen, and to the families who carry that loss every day: thank you.

A great fitness facility does not just attract members. It keeps them.

Layout, natural light, traffic flow, locker room quality, technology integration, every design decision either works for your retention numbers or against them. Most operators do not realize how much the building itself is either earning or costing them until it is too late to change it.

At HTG Architects, we design fitness and wellness centers with that business reality front and center. The best gym in town isn't always the one with the best equipment. It is usually the one that feels the best to be in.

Clearwater Ice Arena needed to grow, and the challenge was not just building something new; it was fitting a 42,000-square-foot addition into an existing footprint, infilling between the original rink and an adjacent building without missing a beat in functionality or flow.

The result: an NHL-size ice sheet, a dedicated training facility, skate rental, party rooms, storage, and updated public lobby and meeting spaces. A full-service ice destination in one of the last places you would expect to find one.

An ice arena doesn't have to go quiet in July.

Our latest blog looks at what it actually takes to design an ice arena for year-round use, and why flexibility has to be built in from the start, not added later.

Read the full post here:

When most people picture an ice arena, they picture hockey. Maybe figure skating. A cold building that sits quietly in July. But communities investing in new recreation facilities today are asking a different question: what happens when the ice is gone? It's a smart question, and the answer starts
