Installing a standing seam double snap-lock system on a single slope roof in Farmington, New Hampshire.

We show clips placed every 18 to 20 inches, with panels about 37 and a half feet long, and show how the double snap-lock system works by snapping into the clip and the adjacent panel.

This is a top tier roof designed to last a verrrry long time.

The job in Hooksett is complete!

We ran 18 inch double snap lock standing seam panels with two striations down the middle, same system across the front, the side roof, and the porch. For the dormers, we pulled the siding back, ran the panels up five inches, tucked in proper ice and water shield, then built custom flashing for each one before putting the siding back.

That flashing step is the part most crews skip.

It's also the part that decides whether this roof leaks in year three or holds up for the next thirty.

This is what "built for good" actually looks like once it's finished.

Hooksett NH homeowner, roof full of asphalt shingles on every mansard wall.

They were curling, sliding, and coming apart at the nail line, basically doing everything asphalt does once it's reached retirement.

He didn't want a patch job. He wanted something he'd never have to think about again.

So we're putting on a standing seam metal roof instead. No shingles to lose, no granules to shed, built to outlast the house around it.

Part 2 is coming once this one's buttoned up. The before and after on this house is worth the wait.

This roof had no plywood under the old shingles, just insulation nailed straight into a cathedral ceiling. That’s the kind of thing you never see until the tear off happens.

Before any standing seam metal roof goes on, we redecorate the whole roof in half inch plywood so the clips holding the panels actually have something solid to grab. Skip that step and the whole roof is only as strong as insulation.

Six feet of high temp ice and water shield along the eaves, then synthetic underlayment across the rest so the roof can actually breathe. No shortcuts, no guessing.

Panels are going down now. Come back for the finished look.
