The upstairs landing is the strip of carpet nobody thinks about. Everyone uses it all day, in shoes and in bare feet.

It darkens a shade at a time. You stop seeing it until the day you move a laundry basket and find the original colour hiding underneath.

Hot water extraction pulls the soil up and out of the pile. The second photo is the same landing on the same morning.

Microfiber hides how much it is holding until you look along the seam. That darker line down the cushion is body oil, skin and everyday dust, pressed in a little further every time someone sits down.

It builds up slowly across years of ordinary use, so there is never one day where it looks wrong to the person sitting on it.

We pre spray the cushion first, let the solution break down the oil, then pull it back out with the wand. The lower photo was taken while the fabric was still damp, which is why the wand strokes show.

Half this floor has nothing on it. The other half is covered in straight lines running edge to edge.

Those lines only show up when carpet fibers actually stand back up after a real extraction pass, pulled straight and combed by the machine as it moves through. Fibers have to be lifted clean from the base to hold a line like that.

Foot traffic flattens them back down within days, so a floor that's lost its lines has usually gone a long stretch without a real clean.

An empty room is where carpet stops hiding. With the furniture gone, the traffic path is the first thing anyone looks at.

What darkens it is soil that worked its way down past the tips of the fibers, where a vacuum pulls air across the top and never reaches.

Hot water and solution go in under pressure, sit long enough to release it, then come back out with the dirt. Here is the same doorway before and after.

The cushions on your lanai look fine to you because you see them every day. This is what came out of one of them.

Outdoor fabric sits through sun, rain and salt air, holding all of it down in the foam where wiping the surface never reaches.

So we take every cushion off the frame and run hot water through it on the machine, then pull that water back out. They go back on the same visit.
