So glad we are a small builder. And we decided during covid no bank loan draws. So in my mind there was no way a builder could actually bid out a home how the prices were so high and then it wasn't fair to ask homeowners for more money when materials rocketed. Who has over 20k sitting in bank not allot of people. Contractors legally could get out of the contract for price increases and we were not going to do that. Prices still haven't fallen due to inventory left in shelfs. This is going to be a retake of what builders went through before. So watch contracts you sign and talk to customers that they are building for already. Hernando has a great permit lookup service that you can look up the builder by name. You can see how old their open permits are out. What is sad is that people who built now they won't have equity for at least 10 years one report shows. Good luck to those building. And as always I am a message away and try to help as much as I can. It's so sad that something Scott has placed his heart and soul in is literally disappointing. Trades are same way. No one is up and coming to learn a trade. We soon will hardly have crews to do the work. The government should do so much more for learning a trade!
