In honor of Radon Awareness Month, La Crosse County Health Department is offering free radon tests available for pick up at the county health building or any of the La Crosse County Library locations. If you don't have time or don't feel like dealing with testing yourself, we can come and do an in home test for a charge. If your levels are elevated, we are here to help!

We spend a lot more time at home during the winter, especially this year! Confirm that your indoor air quality is safe, and get your home tested.

We're still spending a lot of time at home. As we’ve redesigned spaces in our homes to become our new offices, playrooms, classrooms, and home gyms, you may find yourself using your basement for new activities. If you have high levels of radon in your home, you may be at a higher risk for developing lung cancer due to the longer hours spent there.

The only way to know is to test. A test kit is $10 and can be picked up at La Crosse County Health Department or any county library location.
