Did you know, Winter is the best season for most tree pruning and evaluation? It's true,
Here are just a few reasons why:
1. It is a great way to prevent the spread of disease and fungus.
2. Those pesky insects are hunkered down for the season, so they can't bug any new cuts in trees. 😉
3. Speaking of new cuts, it is actually less stressful on trees to be pruned during winter months when they are dormant.
4. Now that the leaves have fallen off deciduous trees and shrubs it gives us a better view of a their structure. This allows us to evaluate the condition of branches that may have been harder to see in warmer months. Evaluation is essential for addressing health issues, putting maintenance plans together, and any hazards.
5. Frozen ground makes getting our larger machinery in and out with less disturbance to properties.
