“I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept.” - Angela Davis
Today, we observe Juneteenth, commemorating the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas finally received word of their emancipation—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. As we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the profound contributions of Black Americans, we also recommit ourselves to our ongoing journey toward diversity, equity, and inclusion. Wishing everyone a reflective and joyful Juneteenth!
