Chimney flashing is a critical roofing technique that creates a watertight seal where the chimney penetrates the roof. It prevents water from leaking into the home, which is one of the most common sources of roof leaks. Proper flashing uses layered metal pieces that direct water away from the joint, allowing for some movement between the roof structure and the rigid masonry chimney.

Yesterday our crew installed flashing on two chimneys as part of this new construction build. This important step ensures proper protection and allows the Masons to begin stoning the chimneys before we install the new roof system.
