Hard hats off, golf clubs out! ⛳ Our team traded the jobsite for the golf course to celebrate a successful end to summer. The rain held off for a perfect day on the course, complete with a raffle, BBQ, and plenty of snacks. 😋 Grateful for this team and a summer of hard work!

West Michigan Community Bank Ribbon Cutting and Grand Reopening! 🎉✂️
We loved joining customers, community members, staff, and stakeholders to celebrate the grand reopening of West Michigan Community Bank’s Jenison branch.

With the branch remaining fully operational throughout construction, this celebration marked the first look as one completed space. The refreshed branch brings a new look to a familiar community staple, ready to serve Jenison for years to come.

We were honored to receive two Excellence In Construction Awards from The Associated Builders and Contractors, Western Michigan Chapter for the Gentex Corporation Discovery Preschool (New Construction: $10M-25M) and 42 North Partners (Renovation/Addition/Tenant Build-Out: Less than $1M).

Congratulations to our incredible project teams and partners who helped bring these projects to life! These recognitions are a testament to the dedication, craftsmanship, and expertise that came together to make each project a success and we couldn’t be more proud to celebrate this achievement together! 🎉 ❤️

Shoulder Innovations Groundbreaking! 🎉 We have officially broken ground on Shoulder Innovations’ new headquarters in Byron Center!

Shoulder Innovations’ pioneering shoulder replacement technology has fueled rapid growth, and they quickly outgrew their Grand Rapids facility. Their new headquarters will help expand their operations, increase efficiency, and support their growing distribution needs.

Congratulations, Shoulder Innovations on this incredible milestone! We can’t wait to bring this project to life! 🏗️

Take us out to the ballgame... 🎶⚾ Lakewood staff and families had a blast at The West Michigan Whitecaps for our annual family outing! It was the prefect way to wrap up the summer and celebrate our hometown team!

While the Whitecaps might not have taken home the win, that didn't stop us from having an awesome night at LMCU Ballpark! We enjoyed great food, quality time, and everyone's favorite, Dippin' Dots! 🍦 Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the end of the season! ☀️

Community Action House Resale South Grand Re-Opening! 🎉 We rounded out our work with Community Action House with a ribbon-cutting celebration at Resale South! ✂️

This renovation transformed the existing resale store, and once former grocery store, into a more functional and welcoming space, improving customer flow and sorting logistics throughout the store. After gutting the existing space, updates include new retail space, offices and a break room for staff and volunteers, staging and processing rooms, and an improved donation drop-off area complete with a canopy.

Make sure to check out the new mural by Joel Schoon-Tanis, located by the donation drop-off, celebrating all of the amazing work that Community Action House does for the neighbors in our community.

Summer Intern Recap! Meet Evan Berghorst! 👋

Evan is from Zeeland, MI, and is a rising senior at Cornerstone University studying Business Management and Finance. This summer, Evan worked as a Project Management Intern, gaining experience as a project engineer on two projects, assisting with the bidding process, and filling in as a site superintendent. He also spent three weeks learning finish carpentry, giving him a greater understanding of the trades and how they connect to project management.

As Evan heads into his senior year at Cornerstone, we’re excited to have him continue his role with Lakewood throughout the school year. Thanks for being part of the team, Evan!
