🐛 Yesterday’s mystery photo? Those were mealybug egg sacs.
Today’s photo shows the hatched, damage-causing nymphs that emerge from those cottony masses. These pests feed by sucking sap from plants, which can lead to yellowing leaves, stunted growth, leaf drop, and weakened plants. They also produce honeydew, which can attract ants and lead to sooty mold issues.
The lesson? By the time you see the white cottony masses, the next generation may already be on the way. Early detection is key! If you see these on your plants, give Florida Grown a call right away and we'll get them taken care of before they have a chance to cause serious damage. 🌿☎️
