Increase new/existing low-yield wells or properly decommission old ones. I have been in the water well industry for over 33 years working with my father in-law, the legendary John Gilbert, of Gilbert Well Drilling (GWD) who has almost 60 years experience! I am a Veteran of the Maine Air National Guard where I flew KC-135's for 20 years. I have worked with the hydrofracturing of water wells for over 30 years! Took a trip Downeast to beat the heat for this one. Drilled in 1982 to 143' @ 5 GPM, this well sat dormant for 20 years. For the last several years (10+) the new homeowners have found the well inadequate to meet their demands. After a 550 psi break, this Cutler well is now producing just under 7 GPM. 💪
On a sidenote, the mile of flags and Pledge of Allegiance signs near Worcester wreath and the Acadia National Cemetery are awesome! Very well done by the folks down there. 🇺🇸

This Passadumkeag farm has been min running their water supply for a good while. Their well recently started running dry after filling two 55 gallon barrels for the chickens. This older 140 footer was producing maybe a pint a minute. Showers had to be strategically scheduled throughout the day.
I went to the bullpen for help on this one (my amazing daughter ❤️) and after a 550 psi break, the owners now have 5.2 GPM to keep their farm running. Water for the chickens, showers and even some left over to water the garlic plants and fruit trees!

This Penobscot well was drilled in 1993 and produced about 5-6 GPM at that time. It starting giving up some about 5 years ago and these folks have been in super H20 conservation mode the past couple years. They heard about fracking and decided to give us a whirl. It paid off bigly as this older well is now producing 10+ GPM. Water issues solved. All with minimal disruption to their flowers and landscaping!

This MDI well was drilled a few years ago to 400' with a 100 GPM inflow. Unfortunately it turned to salt water with normal usage. We worked with a hydrologist and sealed off (abandoned) the bottom 120'. Subsequent yield was a pint a minute. We were brought back to frack and after a 850 psi break, the well is now producing 2.5 GPM of fresh water. Enough to meet the customer's demands for this particular dwelling on their property. Mission complete.

Challenging one yesterday but the versatility of our equipment makes us unique and allows for no job to be denied! This was a first for us though in 30 plus years, never had to put the front of the truck inside a building to allow for the crane to reach the well head lol. This well started having issues in March but the customer wanted to wait to see if the spring rains would replenish their well. It began running dry again though this month while doing multiple loads of laundry. A 500 psi break and a 6.5 GPM yield, this 300' well is now back online and the customers are very happy. Climbed our way atop a large hill in Orland for this one. Orland is notorious for deep and low yield wells. This one was drilled last fall for new construction to a depth of 800' and maybe a trickle of water. Now that the home is almost complete, it was time to get serious. It gave us a nice clean 1100 psi break and a respectable 1.5 GPM production. A major piece of the puzzle now complete for this scenic hilltop home!

Interesting one in Ellsworth. The well for this large construction project was drilled back on the late 80's and was never used as the property stayed vacant. The specs were 300' and 1.5 GPM when drilled, but after test pumping, it was now only producing less than a half gallon per minute. The engineers wanted to use a 1000 gallon holding tank in the building to make it all work. The decision was made to Hydrofrac and a good decision it was. A 700 psi break and the old well is now producing 8 gallons per minute. 1000 gallon holding tank no longer required!!
