Your drainfield only works if the soil can breathe. Keep vehicles off it, route gutter water away from it, and let grass be the only thing growing there. Tree roots and truck tires are the two most expensive visitors a drainfield gets.

Losing water on a private well is not a subtle event. The house works, and then nothing comes out of the tap.

Most wells drop hints first. Faucets spit air. Pressure falls off the moment two fixtures run at once. The pump starts and stops in quick bursts instead of holding a steady cycle, or it runs on without building pressure. Sometimes the breaker feeding the pump trips, resets fine, then trips again a day later.

Those are worth acting on rather than waiting out. A well that is struggling rarely gets better on its own, and the failure tends to arrive on the least convenient day. We repair and replace well pumps for homes and businesses across Harris County and the greater Houston area, and we work on pressure tanks and waterlines when one of those turns out to be the actual fault.
