New construction plumbers- don’t caulk around the bottom of your urinals, for two reasons: 1-When the gasket deteriorates and starts leaking it won’t show up on the wall under the urinal where we’d rather see it; because of the water-tight seal made by the caulk, the urine water will seep into the wall and create a mystery leak. 2- The end user doesn’t ever see the bottom of the urinal!
