Cooler air, changing leaves, and a warm light at the door.

Park II feels right at home this time of year. The crisp exterior of the white brick and dark slate is softened by weathered stone and the warmth of the copper canopy. As the landscape begins to change, the house takes on a quieter, more welcoming moment.

“Details are not the details. They make the design.” — Charles Eames

From the way each material meets the next to shaped rooflines, carefully scaled windows, and custom stonework and trim, these are the elements that give each home its own identity. Individually, they may seem small. Together, they create a design that feels complete and makes the moment!

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is having clients come back to us for their next home. It’s something we’re fortunate to experience often, and each time, it’s a meaningful reflection of the relationships we build along the way.

We’re excited to share a first look at this Florida home for returning clients, their second [moment] home. Inspired by Mission-style architecture and the character of its setting, the design features stucco walls, clay tile roofs, deep overhangs, arched openings, and a courtyard-centered arrival.

A new setting, a new architectural moment, and another chapter with clients we’re grateful to work with again!

We’ve shared glimpses of the front of this home. . . Now take in the full moment.

We’ve talked about how every home is shaped by its owners and the life it is meant to support. In this home, the owners wanted community and gathering to be at the forefront. The centered drive pulls you in, the symmetrical façade guides your eye to the entry, and the surrounding drive court creates a sense of enclosure around the arrival. Together, these elements make this home feel less like a stopping point and more like an invitation to come in, gather, and stay awhile.

Excited to finally share that our Seventh II house has been published in the current issue of Modern Luxury Interiors Midwest !

To celebrate, we’re sharing one of our favorite moments of the home. In the family room, 13’-6” tall windows draw the eye beyond the interior to an arched colonnade and the landscape beyond. It’s a simple architectural move, but one that makes the exterior an integral part of the interior experience.

We’re grateful to NAVYBLACK studio for their thoughtful vision and attention to detail throughout the interiors, and to J. Jordan Homes by Julie Laux for bringing the design to life with expert ex*****on. See the full feature at the link in our bio!

A fitting setting for the final moments of summer!

At our Heart home, the outdoor living feels like a natural part of the home. With covered porch stretching along the rear of the house, connecting the living spaces to the pool and expansive lawn beyond the warm wood, natural stone, and generous openings give the porch a comfortable sense of enclosure without losing its connection to the outdoors.

As the end of summer approaches, it is a reminder to slow down, gather outside, and enjoy the spaces designed for the season.

We spent the day yesterday across the street shooting our third Deer Pond home, which had us thinking about this favorite moment from Deer Pond II. Where the primary suite opens onto a covered porch, creating a cozy retreat with a direct connection to the rear yard. Large sliding doors frame the landscape, bringing the outdoors into the everyday experience and making the porch a natural place to slow down and enjoy the setting.

There may be no greater compliment than being asked to design a client’s home a second time.

Our Elm II home was completed a few years ago, drawing on traditional architecture through steeply pitched slate roofs, stone masonry, carefully scaled windows, and layered forms that give the home a timeless character. When these homeowners came back to us to design a second home out of state, we were honored to be part of their next chapter. Moments like these are among the most rewarding parts of what we do, and we can’t wait to share more of their second home in the future.

A hidden room with its own point of view.

Every detail adds another layer to the bar at our Deer Pond II home. From the glass-enclosed w**e storage to the narrow footprint and full-height window, the space is designed to feel both intimate and open. Natural light filters through, highlighting the w**e display and creating contrast from the dining room, while the oversized window extends the sightline beyond, creating a moment and making the bar feel tucked away, yet always connected to the home.
