Yesterday was storm damage day!
We started in Brook Park, MN, removing a large elm tree that had fallen onto a shed. The homeowner chose to hire us because we took the time to walk him through exactly how we were going to remove the tree, step by step. We clearly explained the scope of work, provided a detailed contract outlining what he would receive and for what cost, and supplied proof of both our insurance and workers’ compensation coverage.
Safety was a major concern for the homeowner, and we were able to explain our safety procedures and why we make safety our top priority on every job. He told us that while he paid a little more to hire us, it was absolutely worth it in the end. We left his property clean, and while we were there, we also removed a significant amount of canopy from neighboring trees that had to be taken down near his shed. By doing that, we helped set him up for future success and reduced the risk of additional damage to his building.
After finishing in Brook Park, we headed into Wisconsin. We don’t usually take jobs across the border, but this was a call for help from a Bible camp. A 100-foot pine tree had been struck by lightning and split badly. As the wind blew, the crack would open and close, creating a very dangerous situation. We were able to safely remove the tree and eliminate the hazard. The camp just wanted the tree on the ground and they would take care of it from there, but we did the full clean up for them so they could concentrate their efforts to the campers coming in that day and in a few days!
At Iron Horse Farms Tree Service, we believe the job isn’t just about taking down trees, it’s about earning trust, operating safely, and leaving every property better than we found it.
