Correct chemistry readings don't make cloudy water or an odor in your hot tub acceptable.

If the sanitizer, pH, and alkalinity are in range but the water still looks murky or smells off, another chemical adjustment may only prolong the problem. The water may be due for replacement.

Most hot tubs need a full drain, clean, and refill about every three to four months. Heavy use can move that timeline up.

If the water keeps asking for corrections, it may be time to start fresh.
