🚨LABOR DISPUTE UPDATE-SMW 73 Secures Two Lowe’s Rooftop Jobs🚨

IA Organizer Dave Sylvester alerted SMW 73 that Lowe’s stores in our area might have rooftop HVAC work coming. Our business agents and organizers visited the stores and identified upcoming work in Orland Park and Lincolnwood.

When lifts, rooftop units, and curb adapters arrived, SMW 73 set up pickets at both locations. Officers, organizers, and supporters monitored the sites 24/7. After three days, Buisness Representative Arturo Hurtado and President/Buisness Manager Ray Suggs secured both jobs for Local 73.

Thank you to retirees Mario Mitchell, Bob Miklos, and John Loverher for their help. SMW 73 is now discussing future Lowe’s rooftop replacement work. SMW 73 continues to set the standard for training, quality, wages and benefits in Cook and Lake County Illinois.
