With all this thaw, we’re seeing sump pumps running nonstop. If the snow and ice are piled up along your curb, that water has nowhere to go — which can send it right back toward your foundation or basement.

Quick 5-minute fix:
✔️ Clear snow/ice away from the curb drain
✔️ Make sure your downspouts and sump discharge lines are open
✔️ Check that your sump pump is actually pumping outside and not frozen
✔️ Verify water is flowing away from the house

A blocked curb = overworked sump pump = potential basement water.
