A legacy built on family never goes out of style.

We were proud to celebrate 50 years of partnership with Glik’s yesterday at Northtown Shopping Center in Highland.

What started with a conversation between Ralph Korte and Joe Glik - and a shared belief in investing in the Highland community - became a lasting partnership that has carried on for five decades and through generations of both families.

Yesterday, we kicked off the weekend by celebrating that history, the families behind it and the community that made it all possible.

And the celebration isn’t over yet. Glik’s has plenty more happening at Northtown today. Come out, join the fun and help celebrate 50 years in Highland.

It started with a phone call and a handshake.

For this Throwback Thursday, we’re going back to the early 1970s, when Joe Glik was looking at Highland as the next place for Glik’s to grow. Ralph Korte saw an opportunity to think bigger, and together, the idea for Northtown Shopping Center took shape.

That decision started a partnership between Korte and Glik's that has now lasted 50 years.

Tomorrow, we’ll begin the celebration where it all began.
