Refresh... or renovate?
Not every landscape needs to be torn out. A lot of the time, fresh edging, mulch, and replacing a few plants is enough to bring it back.
But sometimes it's worth taking a step back and asking whether you're putting money into a landscape you still like, or just trying to make an old design look better.
This project was a complete landscape renovation. Before we plant anything, we lay every shrub and perennial out first, then step back and make adjustments until everything feels balanced and fits the space.
We'd rather spend a little extra time getting the layout right before we start planting than rush through it and second-guess it later.
What's one thing you'd change about your landscaping?
