My name is Shane Keitz, and I run Keitz Heating & Cooling right here in Oakland and Livingston County. We have been serving this community for 49 years, and every single year I am reminded why my family started this in the first place. We wanted to give something real back to the people who live here. That purpose has never left us.

One thing I hear from homeowners more than almost anything else is the frustration of being left in the dark. You call a company, someone shows up, and then you have no idea what is happening, what needs to be fixed, or how much it is going to cost. That uncertainty is genuinely stressful, especially when your heat goes out in the middle of a Michigan winter.

We do things differently. From the moment we arrive at your home, we make sure you understand exactly what is going on with your furnace or air conditioning system. We walk you through what needs to be done and why. You are never sitting there guessing or waiting on a call that never comes. I think about a family last winter, heat completely out, temperatures dropping fast. We got there, diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, got that furnace back up and running, and they knew every step of the process as it happened. That is what this work looks like when it is done right.

Whether we are repairing a system that stopped working or installing a brand new furnace or air conditioner, the goal is always the same. Get your home comfortable, keep you informed, and make sure you feel taken care of from start to finish.

Owning this business has given me something I did not fully appreciate when we started. I get to be home for my family while still serving the community I care about. That balance means everything to me.

When I am not working, I love getting out to my property up north and spending time in nature. And when I am back in town and hungry, you will probably find me at Leo's Coney Island. Their fish dinner is my go-to every single time.

Also, I am on a mission to find the best breakfast spot in Oakland and Livingston County. Any suggestions?
