Which do you prefer, the Silencer Co Omega 36M or the Rugged obsidian 45?
The SilencerCo Omega 36M is one of those suppressors that just flat out works on everything 36 caliber and below. Whether you’re running a 9mm PCC, a 5.56, or a .308 bolt setup, the 36M gives you a ton of flexibility without feeling overly heavy or bulky.
What really makes it stand out is the modular design. You can run it in the full-length configuration when you want maximum sound suppression, or shorten it up when you want something lighter and shorter. It’s basically like having two suppressors in one.
One of the best parts about the SilencerCo Omega 36M is how versatile the mounting system is. From the factory it comes set up with the ASR mounting system, which makes it quick to swap between rifles that have a ASR muzzle break. But if you want to go direct thread it’s an easy swap. Throw a booster assembly on it and you’re good to go for semi auto handguns. Grab the tri lug adapter and it becomes an awesome option for MP5-style platforms and other PCC builds.
The Rugged Obsidian 45 is a great option for 45 caliber fi****ms. Out of the box it comes ready to run with a piston setup for semi-auto pistol. But if you want to throw it on a fixed barrel platform like a PCC or lever gun, you can easily swap over to a fixed mount or direct thread setup. Once again rugged makes it easy with all the adapters. All Obsidian 9 and 45 adapters are cross compatible so whether you want direct thread or the tri lug style it’s an easy swap between the two suppressors.
