🌱 What happens to all the muck?

The muck is a 3-foot deep, nutrient-rich, organic layer that is removed during mining.

While it's not suitable for construction, it is an excellent material for topsoil. We have an on-site contractor that screens it for sticks, rocks, and other debris, before processing it into a rich black topsoil that can be blended with sand or other amendments for landscaping.

Because White Rock produces more muck than the market can use, excess material is managed under a state permit that allows it to be returned to the same lake it came from, helping responsibly manage resources while meeting environmental regulations.
